From Luxury Insider to Conscious Creator

Mies Editions was founded by Ines Bourgeois, a designer with over a decade of experience working with leading fashion houses such as Chloé and Missoni, as well as contributing to Vogue. After years inside the luxury fashion system, she launched her own brand in April 2021, driven by a desire to create fewer garments, but better ones—pieces designed to last both in quality and relevance.
The true turning point came during the pandemic, when she directly witnessed the scale of waste generated by overproduction across the industry. This experience profoundly reshaped her vision and led her to design a brand built around real demand, adaptability, and responsible production.
Her creative language blends several cultural influences: the restraint of Belgian minimalism, the fluidity of Spanish style, and the organic beauty of the Mediterranean. These references are translated into architectural silhouettes, subtle proportions, and a quiet, enduring elegance that defines the Mies aesthetic.

A Philosophy of Less: Timeless Design, Purposeful Living

Founded in 2020, Mies Editions is a womenswear brand created as a response to the dominant model of fast consumption and mass production. At its core lies a simple philosophy: “less is more.”
The brand envisions a wardrobe made of timeless, versatile garments designed to adapt to real life rather than seasonal trends. Its mission is to promote a slower and more intentional way of dressing—encouraging customers to buy less, choose better, and wear their clothes longer.
Mies Editions is built on three fundamental values:

  • A strong commitment to waste reduction through limited capsules, pre-orders, and the use of deadstock fabrics

European Craftsmanship, Responsible by Design

Mies Editions produces exclusively in Europe, with its creative studio based in Paris and manufacturing carried out between Como, Puglia (Italy) and Romania.
Approximately 90% of all pieces are made in Italy, relying on specialized workshops and long-standing artisanal expertise. Craftsmanship is considered a central pillar of the brand’s identity.
The production model is defined by:
  • Limited-edition capsule collections
  • A pre-order system that aligns production with real demand
  • An almost exclusive use of deadstock fabrics, reinterpreting signature designs in new materials to create exclusive or one-of-a-kind editions
This structure allows Mies Editions to minimize overstock, significantly reduce waste, and maintain strict quality control throughout the supply chain.

Mies Editions approaches fashion as a long-term wardrobe rather than a cycle of seasonal trends. At its core is a permanent line of essential pieces — clean, fluid, quietly feminine — designed to move effortlessly from everyday life to refined occasions.

Alongside this foundation, the brand releases small capsule collections that reinterpret signature designs in new deadstock fabrics.
